Hello ,
Thank you for your message. We congratulate you for your interest in taking the world's most popular scuba diving course - PADI Open Water Diver (OWD) course with us. After completing your training in 4 days, you will join the millions of certified divers who enjoy the pleasures of diving all around the world. Based on our 25+ years of experience in the Scuba Diving industry, we can guarantee that you will find this course to be the start of a very fulfilling new lifestyle... Please click here to watch a short introduction video about the Open Water Diver course.
To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 14 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
PADI Open Water Diver Course consists of 3 parts:
a) Theory - This is where you learn the basics of scuba diving by reading the digital eLearning materials, watching the Open Water Diver video and writing a final exam. Upon confirmation of your course reservation, we will assign an eLearning code to you and you will access your course manual from the system while still at home. It would be best if you finish the knowledge reviews, quizzes and the final exam online before coming to Kas.
b) Confined Water Dives - There are 5 confined water sessions where your PADI instructor will teach you the basic scuba diving skills. Depending on your performance, you could complete these confined water sessions in 2 days in the sea environment (from our Dive Boat). The total duration of the course would be 4 days. You can find our daily diving schedule below.
c) Open Water Dives - You will complete 4 open water dives where you will be able to apply the skills that you have mastered in the confined water sessions and enjoy your time underwater in a safe and fun way. All of these Open Water dives are conducted in the sea environment from the Dive Boat. The Open Water sessions are completed in two days on the boat.
Course Price:
The price for the PADI Open Water course is 375 Euros + VAT per person. It includes the 3 sections as described above, plus the rental of all of the dive equipment you will be using during your course, boat rides, all PADI eLearning materials and PADI Open Water Diver certification fee - no hidden costs! The only extra expenses will be the cold/hot beverages or similar that you consume during the course. Also, although it is not mandatory, it is a universally accepted practice in the scuba world to give a small tip to the staff if you are satisfied with the quality of service you receive during your time with us.
Bonus:
You will have a %10 discount for your further dives and courses for 1 year, upon completing your course.
We have diving packages if you want to continue diving to get some experience after your course. So, after the completion of your course, if you still have several spare days, you could do some fun dives as a certified diver and gain some experience :)
Our daily schedule is as follows:
We meet at our dive boat at 9:00am every morning and leave at 9:30am for the first dive site; do the dives then move onto the second location. We will have at least 1 hour (sometimes more) waiting time in between the dives; then do the second dives and return to Kas around 3pm.
